In Haiti, over 90% of the schools are private, such that children only have access to education when their families are able to cover the cost of tuition. In a country where more than half the population exists on less than $1 per day, the cost of education is often impossible to afford for even one child in the household.

At Ecole Filostin, only about 20% of the students are able to cover their tuition expenses without assistance. More than half of the children enrolled at Ecole Gerny Filostin require full tuition support which is provided by Institute of Grace.

Each year, Institute of Grace looks to supporters for help with sponsoring Merger school children through a year of education.
